Bowl 167 ~ Black Garlic Tonkotsu. Suki Ramen. Bondi Junction.

Suki Ramen is situated in the old Bondi Junction shop of Ryo’s Noodles who sadly had to close up and moved back to Japan in the pandemic 2020. Suki then opened in January. Da and Leo (owner / chef) are very warm and welcoming people and even let me try a few other broths from the menu whilst i was there too!

Tonkotsu was not super heavy and thick which was good, and had a really nice mouth feel to it. Of course the flavour bomb of black garlic is always a big impact over the top!

Noodles were just ever so slightly over cooked for my liking, and perhaps Hakata style thin might be a better option for this bowl?

The chashu is the real hero here!! Three extra thick slices, flame charred and so tender and delicious - seriously good chashu.

The guys tell me a new winter menu is coming in May too.
Open 6 days a week (closed Sundays).
