Bowl 163 ~ Kogashi Shoyu. Gogyo. Surry Hills

I am pretty sure the last time I was here they only had Kogashi (intentionally burnt) Miso as an option.
The kogashi style really works for the miso bowls (in my opinion), but not...so...much for the Shoyu, unfortunately.

Light chicken broth which is probably quite delicate is completely lost under the explosion of burnt soy base. Two painfully thin slices of chashu were not enough as a topping. Half an umami egg and some little tiny pieces of pork mince floating around with raw onion. For me, this one missed the mark a bit sorry.
